Has anyone ever been scammed by a "breeder" on the internet? I think I may just have been. What can you do if your seller has taken you to the cleaners?

check the other websites BOI. sorry but cant post it here. If you ve already lost money Im not sure what your options are. You could contact the folks who are in charge of internet fraud ( not sure who they are though) but depending on how much you lost it may not be worth it. Good luck.

I paid by personal check, so they told me there would be a 15 day holding period. They said they would send pics of specific animals in a few days. It's been 17 days, and I haven't gotten any pictures or any replies to any of my e-mails.
` Credit card payments give you a little better protection. Still, not 100% safe.
` I'd check with my bank. If the breeder you sent the check to is out of your state, the check might not have cleared yet, and you can stop it. Make sure you mention to your bank why your want to do this.
` There are so many crooks out there, I avoid buying mail order from ANYONE who I can't get references on, period.
` Good luck working this out.
