Your camera is fast or mien is slow i get alot of blurry pictures and hardly any clear close ups, definetly nothing as clear as those shots. Are you using auto settings or manual?

Sometimes auto but usually just normal manual.
Not too good with macro.

I especially like the third shot. The detail of the scales adds an interesting perception of motion to the pic.

It is more luck then anything.
