Do you know the history of the animal? More to the point, can you post the history of the animal?

gotta love "engrish" translations. translation via excite.co.jp of the description next to him:

KEZUMEHYOUMON
Geochelone pardalis x sulcata
literally -- KEZUMERIKUGAME and HYOUMONGAME
Hybrid kind. It is raw by chance in a breeding institution.
rare ‚½ -- a new case is seemed Overall
As an image, the feature of KEZUME is a table mostly.
‚ê‚Ä‚¢‚é -- although it looks like -- •^–ä•¿ of a shell
It is also the feature of HYOUMON to the place of a high dome.
It has come out.

so they *are* at laest claiming it to be a hybrid... and it can be yours for 500,000 yen (525,000) with tax) -- roughly $5,000/$5,250 american if you're that interested.
