Breeding Cresteds VS. Leos

MacArthur Aug 28, 2004 08:25 AM

Which is easier to breed? I may br breeding leos soon but I might want to try my hand at cresteds too. I can't find much info on houw to house the hatchlings or on how to incubate the eggs. Thanks for any info,

Grant

Hello,

We breed both and in my opinion Ciliatus are easier and more sensable for the hobbyist. They have less requirements than a leo. Temperature is a big one, this means no heating apparatus. Though leos are easy to breed as well, I prefer cresteds. IMHO.

Oh and you will never get a leao that can jump from your finger to your face and stick! Crestys are funny that way!

Best of luck in whichever you choose it is an interesting experience.

Speaking of breeding cresteds...

Does anyone know of any care sheet type things for breeding cresteds. Anywhere where I can find out some information?

Thanks.
