I will be moving to New Mexico this winter and would appreciate any info on keeping snakes and what i can not keep.i have been told Alternas are protected (does that also mean no.C.B..),how about Western Hognose???Thanks in advance

If I were you, I'd write to the NM fish&game folks and see if you can get a letter sent NOW, to your current out-of-NM address, acknowledging your current slate of captives and permitting you to bring them to NM. You may have to get a statement of health from a veterinarian.

Thanks,have no snakes at this time,i sold them all about 4 months ago to a guy in jacksonville florida so will be starting over...this time i will not be renting so do not have to worry about a landlord snooping around like the last two....i was going to stay in florida but have decided to head out west,should be pretty cool and will check the link,i have found a list of protected species,will be cool looking for rattlers to photograph there,i cant wait.........
