pac man heating

Curtisr_25 Aug 28, 2004 10:51 AM

I bought an under substrate heater for my tank. I was wondering what your opinion is on where to put it. The general consensus is that to put it under the tank on the opposite end of the water dish, but I also have heard some people will put it on the side of the tank. I want to make sure I dont burn the frog, but I want to make sure it stays warm so I was wondering which of the two places would be the best.

Unless your cage is colder than 72 F then you do not need a heater on the tank.

i once rigged up a very small heat mat in my frogs vivs and monitored temps, a couple of inches down into the substrate the temps were reachin 90-100F, far to hot for a pacman, i wouldnt run any heat mats unless ur using it in conjunction with a reliable thermostat for fear of the frog getting to hot/burt
