WOW....first show......

lilroach56 Aug 28, 2004 11:25 AM

All i can say is WOW. Seeing pastels, axanthics, albinos, orange ghosts, and a SNOWBALL in person makes me gasp. The orange ghosts were INSANE looking, photos (even the best) make them look like crap compared to what they actually are. Plus, seeing Brian Sharps (a benefit of living in VA. I am close to sharp and Ralph) snowball, it was insane. The pigmentation that you see with other snows was completely gone, this thing was practically pure white with a faint pattern outline.

Was it Brian Sharp's snow?
I just bought 1.2 possible double het snows from him last week.
I have a 100% dh snow that I received from him last year......
I saw his snow girl last spring.

At the Manassas, Va. show 8.28. The snow ball was at Brian Sharpes table. It was my first time seeing one and it was "NICE", a beautiful snake! WAY outta my league though.

Yes, I did see! I think some of the people selling at these shows have just way to many reptiles to give them the attention and respect they deserve. I also saw a guy with about 20-30 ball pythons in a 20 Long aquarium. These poor snakes look like they were in terrible shape. Upon close inspection they're scales looked horrible. I'm not sure if it was mites or just repeatedly having bad sheds due to low humidity. They just didn't look healthy.
At the Hamburg, Pa. Venemous Show a guy had a Green Tree Python in a Deli Cup. As if it were a baby cornsnake, just sitting on a dried up paper towel. The poor snake looked like it was on the verge of dying. He also had a couple chameleons the same way. It's REALLY sad to see the way some people treat these reptiles.
