I just got back from the vet. He was still unsure about the mass so I requested an X-ray be done (since he said it should tell him what it is exactly). After a half-hour of waiting for it to be developed, he determined that it was not an impaction or a tumour. It is a calcified mass, perhaps an egg that was aborted but it is not located in the bowels. It is, however, displacing the bowels and other organs due to its size and positioning in the body. The only option is surgery. Isis will have her operation on Friday morning. She may or may not be able to produce offspring after this procedure but that doesn't matter. I love her a lot and I want to give her the best chance for survival. The good news is that she has gained over 20 grams in less than 2 weeks. She is looking very healthy.
I pray everything goes well with the operation.
I have also told the vet that if something goes wrong and she doesn't make it, he can do a necropsy on her to learn more about uromastyx anatomy.
I hope she'll pull through.
Thanks all.
