T boas. Who has them???

miba8055 Aug 28, 2004 01:27 PM

Has anyone crossed these boas into other boa morphs? What does the future look like for them?

Dave and Tracey Barker have some Colombian line T poss, but do not hold thier color as adults, then tend to get black pigment in their pattern causing them to look like really nice boas when adults kind of hard to tell they are T poss, I would go to Tom Burkes site and check out the history and pics of his Nicaraguan T poss boas, they are great looking snakes.

Dude you are SOOOOO wrong.....

The T colombian is hard to photograph. A buddy of mine went to VPI to visit and said they were the nicest snakes there next to the super red albino bloods and the patternless ball python.
He said the adults she had were amazing.....he took pics.....they came out horrible.
He said the pics he took and showed me made the snakes he saw look like totally different snakes.
He said the babies are gorgeous and the adults are even nicer.
He prefered them over the T ' nicaraguans he saw at daytona and the adults he's seen pics of. I am planning on heading out to VPI's place sooner or later to visit and will hopefully check out the T 's through all stages they are in.
Both are nice snakes......but for some weird reason the T colombians do not photograph well.
Just wait till Tracy lugs over a few big ones to Daytona one day.... from what I have heard they will be the show stoppers.

From my own experience with three visual Colombian T positives, I haven't seen any black yet AT ALL. My male came from Tracy and he will be two very soon. He has some brown speckles on him, but he isn't looking one bit darker than he did a year ago when I first bought him. Actually, the three of them appear to be getting brighter coloring - not getting darker at all. Their tails practically glow in the dark The females are gaining more corals in their base coloring. I'll have to get some new pics soon. I keep putting it off because their substrate is newspaper and their beautiful creamy faces always seem to sport newspaper-noses!!

I love both the CA and the Colombian T's, and feel they are both beautiful in their own ways. Unfortunately, some like to slam one over the other. Perhaps they feel that doing this, makes their favorite appear more desirable.

Do you know the price ranges or T and for hets?

Thanks.

Mike

Colombians or Nics? Tracy may have some Colombians and/or hets available. You would have to check with her on the prices.

Tom has Nic hets and/or visuals for sale. Mike Weitzman and Jeremy Stone have 100% hets for sale. Pete Kahl may as well....I'm not sure.

I was at the Barker's about 5-6 months ago.
Tracy's Colombian T 's are stunning. I had seen many pics before and was not totally turned on by them. But, in person they really glow. The one's I saw were different ages and they all looked great.
The Nic's seem darker, but the pics that the Burke's have been posting lately have been outstanding.

Tracy Barker produced Colombian Locale T albinos , I think for the last two years?? i saw some in Daytona this year and they are smokin!
From what I have heard the people that have seen the adults she has in person say they are the nicest boas they have ever seen. They are also very reasonably priced at 15k, and 15k for a pair of hets.
Tom Burke produced Nicaraguan Locality T 's this year.
The first year he produced them. He is asking 40k for a female!!! Which is very very high, but I think it is so no one buys it! I dont think he really wants to sell any.
The t nicaraguan hets are 10k a pair.
