pic of your egypt euro's

gtphale Aug 28, 2004 03:53 PM

I used to have three of them and miss them dearly would love to see some pics of some from this forum and where you can still get them from. Heard that they are really hard to get hold of anymore. I had them back about 10 years ago when they were brought over. They all lived about 8 years once one died they all passed away within 6 months of each other.

I don't have an Egypt Uro myself but I want one.

However I do have a pic of a big one, if you'd like to see it. I found it when I was googleing uromastyx.

This is some guys egypt uro I found, it is pretty big.

Man that first euro is huge. My biggest was 24 inches. I want to get a baby so bad now but I'll have to wait awhile before I could house it properly in a big enough enclosure. Guess i'll be building a wall unit for my Beardi and a new Euro. lol

Was a Rescue 3degree burns, purchased her from the Vandivers on the beardie forum that long ago.
They took care of her first, and asked if I would be interested in taking over.

I jumped at it, even though I had never had one before.

Of course she needed ALOT of extra attention and holding, so she just is the sweetest BIG girl around, and I love her so much.

Very awesome breed ! Would have more if space allowed for it!
Shes about 20 inches or so now, dont know weight but always hefty looking,

I know when compared to my male saharan the legs and feet of the egyptian are massive. The thickness !

I think its very cool that you took her in even though you had no prior experience, and especially since she was injured.

She looks a lot better now. If you don't mind me asking, how did she get the 3rd degree burns? I was thinking maybe she was in a house fire or something.

You did a terrific job on her. She looks happy and healthy.

I never really knew other than what I was told, that a previous owner had let her get burned from a light. The center of her back and her sides were open bloody wounds for a year.

It was a dang shame. But she was a trooper and sooooooo sweet through it all. She could not even have normal basking light it would burn her.

Everything had to be sterile and nothing in with her except paper towels, and a terry towel to cover her at night. And a food dish.

But hey thank God that was a long time ago, all is well , shes healed and grown , and I hope she lives a long long time :0)

Thanks so much for asking

I would not mind baby egyptians one bit,

I Have never in all these years got her a mate.
She did live with my saharan male for 3 years, they started getting amorous with one another, THEN she attacked him,

That was the end of that friendship!

Post your male when you get the chance I would love to see him!
