it could be a number of things. IF it is on sand it could have an impaction. It might have parasites or something that changes its mood. Maybe it is really fat and doesnt want to eat for a while. Hope this helps.

I recently just switched to paper towel like 2 weeks ago and it havsnt been eating since. before that i had calci-sand

With calci-sand, impaction is a possibility. My gecko stop eating for a couplke of days, even a week once in a while. Try to offer food every day anyway. Since you have put him on paper towel, did he poop ?

Waxworm can be addictive, have you tried all sort of foods? e.g. crickets, mealworms, waxworm...etc. Sometimes, they are picky and spoiled, and are stubborn at what they want to eat lol. How long has it stopped eating? I wouldn't try force feeding if it only stopped eating for 1 or 2 weeks. Is it a male? maybe its just the breeding season?

There are many reasons that lead to no eating, including impaction and parasites; if you've tried everything and it still won't eat, I think its time for a visit to the vet.
