VGF dust or ground pellets

dynamohum1 Aug 28, 2004 10:27 PM

I know that quite a few people love the VGF dust and others have reported some problems. I have also read that the pellets are almost a complete diet but some dragons just will not eat them. I took some of my pellets and put them in a spice grinder until they were a fine dust, I use it on greens for my juviniles and they eat it just like plain greens. What advantage would the VGF formula have over the ground pellets.

I'm sorry if this is a bit off topic from your question which I don't have a sure answer for. They both are supposed to be complete diets but some people have had trouble with the trex VGF. I do use a very good product called salad topper. It basically adds to the nutrition of the daily salads, adds variety, and has many vitamins, minerals, and probiotics in safe amounts. I buy it at www.cricketfood.com and it is called salad topper. If all your looking for is something to add to your salad to increase it's nutrition, and add variety this I found to be outstanding, and of supior quality.. It offers many high quality ingredients, and the dragons love it. I also use their cricket food, and have noticed quite an increase in color, and activity in my dragons since using this product. I would feel safer grinding the pellets in your situation. I tested the trex products and they has less then desirable effects on my dragons
