My friend Courtney has a red morph saharan uromastyx thats about a year and a half old. She says that her male has some liquid coming out of his eyes. Sort of clear but not totally clear.

She doesn't have a computer so I'm going to give her the response from you guys.

Can you tell me whats wrong with her saharan so I can tell her what to do?

I have no idea whats wrong with it but when it doubt take it to the vet.

Well thing is, there are no herp vets around our town, I don't even think there is a herp vet in this state.

So Courtney's pretty much limited to the advice of people from the site. So if you guys can tell me so I can tell her what to do that would be great.

It's not uncommon for a uro to excrete salt from it's nose. Oh, you said eyes. If it's not a regular occurance, maybe it's just irritated caused by something that either scratched it or is in the eye. Maybe someone with more medical of a background will chime in. As for the vet, try www.herpvetconnection.com/ and choose the correct state. You might find something.

2.1 - Rocky, Runako, and RoxyIII

Just got back from Courtney's. I took a look at him and it looks like he's going to shed soon. I mean he's already shedding his hand/feet area and it looks as though his eyes are going to be next to shed. She said it happened the first time he shed also.

So does that mean he's fine and he's just protecting his eyes from the shedding skin?
