Characteristics of a Yellow Belly?

BrianT Aug 29, 2004 10:45 AM

I'm kind of confused here. I have seen pics of several yellow bellies, but I can't figure out what the defining characteristics are. Some have yellow bellies, some have bellies that are off white, and some even appear to have white bellies. About the only characteristics I have seen that all these seem to share is a bit of blushing and yellow that starts at the sides of the belly and continues partially up their side patterns. So if someone could fill me in on these and maybe post pics of the different extremes, I would appreicate it.
Thanks,
Brian

One of the things I've noticed from the pics is the congregation of dark marks at the edge of the belly. It reminds me of the bloodred corn snakes. It's like all the dark check marks that would normally be distributed over the belly are pushed into piles along the edge.
