I am going to get a dimmer for my uth becaus ethe aspen is at 91 F. Znywyas I was wondering if you get one that is made for an incandescent light ( I dont even know if they make them for flourescent. Anyways I was hoping to get something similar to this, this is a lamp dimmer. Anyone use them?

Yes, you can just wire a 600watt dimmer that is designed for household use. Get a switch box and a plate for the front to enclose the wiring. I personally wire them into 3 outlet extension cords, then I can regulate 3 things with one dimmer.

watts are watts, no matter what is using them.

flourescents can't be dimmed. it will blow the bulb and ballast/starter as well.

go down to home depot. they have a standard 300 watt table lamp dimmer for $10 that i use on mine and have no problems.

you can use a wall one but then you have to buy a junction box and all that other stuff and I find it to be a bigger pain than its worth..plus its bulky and you have to find a place to put it.
