I went to the new york state fair Today. I went in this one tent because i heard birds squawking. Looking around in the tent I seen some macaws, ferrets and some very very badly malnurished Leopard geckos. I was so mad. The poor leos, blizzards and normals. So skinny the tail and body was no more then skin. I think one was dead. And the pet store people food of choice for leopard geckos.....ICE BERG LETTUCE!!!!! And these guys were around 3-5 inches, about 6 of them total, cramed under one rock or small piece of bark(i dont remember) and on sand...

It took every ounce of strength not to buy them up. Because i kept telling myself if i buy them they will buy more and more will suffer.

Look into filing an animal abuse complaint, you might want to take a few pics if you go back. You might also want to write a letter to the NY State Fair organizers letting them know how things were going at their fair. Maybe also fire off another letter to the petstore. Sounds like a mom & pop operation that hasn't done its homework!

I used to work at the New York State Fair and their organizers are usually very responsive. I would contact whoever organizes the vendors to report this.
