Hello all,
I was lucky enough to get an unexpected surprise. I received a 1.2 albino pair back in 2001. They were gorgeous animals and was just looking forward to producing albinos. I then picked up a pair of tangerine albinos in 2002 from the same breeder. They were unrelated and again couldn't wait for some tangerines. My yellow male from 2001 didn't breed so I used my tangerine since he was up to size (although I didn't brumate him because I initially didn't think he'd have the size). He bred both females from 2001. 6 eggs from 1, 3 from the other. All the eggs looked good except 1, which had fungus and brown'd. I treated it for fungus and just left it be. It came back, but was still skeptical. The 6-egg clutch hatched first. I then saw the first pip--yellow albino. The second was a mix of tangerine and yellow. The third was another yellowish, but not quite as pale as the first hatchling. The fourth--the brown fungus egg-was a snow!!!!The rest hatched and they were tangerinish (mix of yellow and orange). The 3-egg clutch has 2 albinos that are that mix and the last looks to be full tangerine (all 50% poss het snow). So unexpectedly the one female and the tangerine male were both het snow. So now I have several albinos 66% het snow with the tangerine albino gene floating around there...what to do, what to do
