leo's w/ day and night switched OK???

gmagecko Aug 29, 2004 10:27 PM

We have 2 leo's about 2 1/2 months old. They arent as nocturmal as I thought they'd be.They are up and about from about 1 pm till 1 or 2 am.Then they sleep! They are alert and very good eaters. We usually feed them 10-12 crickets each daily at about 7pm.They room is light during the day (w/out direct sunlight on the cage) and a red bulb at night(sometimes during day to maintain constant temp in warm side.Yes there is UTH but some days needs a little more)Is this a problem.I dont know if this will harm them to loose their natural routine. They are captive breed.Could this be the reason??If its a problem how do I change the routine of a Gecko???

Everything sounds fine, they are eating and active.. if they are looking good and their stools are ok, I'd say you are lucky. Many people have cool leopard geckos but they hardly get to see them except after dinner.

Good luck to you!
