Is there any sure tell way to tell the difference between Ornata and Cranwelli? They look the same to me. And what exactly is the difference? Geographical Location? Anyone with picture of the different species.

There are a couple of different things you can use to distinguish the species. First of all, albinos are cranwelli. Next, cranwelli are going to be much more diverse in colors than ornata. Cranwelli are typically going to be brown or yellow, although there are some green ones out there. Cranwelli have a larger, broader head in proportion to their body. As well, cranwelli also have larger horns. Typically ornata are going to all green with a little brown and some bright red on the back. Their horns are smaller and their head is smaller in proportion to their body. I should have some cranwelli pics on my site listed below, the reptizone. I had more pics and some ornata ones as well but I moved to college last week and all my old pics are on the home computer. Keep in mind that ornata is almost appearing to be phased out of the trade. I very rarely see ornata (true ones at least...I see a ton of cranwelli labeled as ornata). Good luck. Andy
