Mealworms & Moths

I am breeding mealworms and have discoverd that there are Moths in the container.I mene a lot of moths. Has anyone run in to this before. I think they might have layed eggs in the container

It'd be best to clean out the container and start over, otherwise youre going to be overrun with moths....... eww

Its best to clean out the cont. you have them in. Just to make sure they dont eat or contamunate your mealworms and get them sick. How have you breed mealworms, I try but cant.

In order to breed them you just put them in some oatmeal or chicken mash, feed them everyday, and keep them warm.. eventually they will pupate-turn into this white looking thing, and from there a few weeks later tehy turn into beetles, light upon turning into a beetle but black once their shells harden.. just put those beetles in a container together, and they will mate, lay eggs, and after dying, the eggs should hatch a few weeks later, and the cycle begins again..

Grain moths, eh? They live in the same environment mealworms do. I would personally either a) call it a bonus and use them as food for smaller herps or b) sort out the visible mealworms and beetles, discard the bedding, clean the container, and start with fresh bedding.
