Yes all Philodryas are venomous.

Yes you can post a picture.

Yes you can give it branches.

Tonight i will get a digital cam and take some photos. But now i want to ask you all (the experts) a thing..

I owned it yesterday, ,but dont know when she fedded for the last time so today i put in the cage a white mice (pinky?) (alive, it was in the cage running for one hour but the Philodryas aestivus ignored him, in fact i think she was afraid, as the mice was running all over her..so after an hour I took back to another box the mice.

my questions are these:

1) im correctly feeding her? WHAT DOES EXACTLY HER REGIMEN? CAN I FEDD HER WITH MOUSE ONCEC A WEEK? only that?

2) DEEAD OR ALIVE?

3) and what size must be the mice?

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THE FORUM, its a pleasure to read all the msgs!

How large is the snake?

An old trick for problem feeders is to put a hide box in the cage. Put a fuzzy mouse in there and let the snake crawl into the box on it's own. It will find the food and (hopefully will eat). Leave the fuzzy there overnight and leave the sanke alone till you check. It probably is stressed from the transfer to it's new home and human contact (if a Philodryas, it is not a snake to be handled casualy).

It might also be fixated on reptile prey so you may need lizards (unless your friend can confirm that it ate mice).

I cannot confirm if it ate micec before, my friendo went abroad (to itali) for one month...

My fear is that im wrong with the alimentation...tonight i will let the mice in the cage alone with her...

I asked on a PET SHOP and they said they can eat mices (didnt know if deead or alive) and little fishes and frogs...

well i will keep u informed

THANKS AGAIN..
