Got my first Ball Python - Sorry for the size of the pic, I can't seem to trim it down

I've had corn snakes for quite some time, as well as bearded dragons and leopard geckos. So I figured I'd step up in the reptile world somewhat.

That and someone gave me a ton of rats a few months ago, and nothing to do with them since my corn snakes won't eat them. So it seemed logical to get something that would. Thats me trying to rationalize my pet addiction. =P

I just got him/her this morning from LLLReptile. Granted it was 17F when it was delivered, but the heatpacks were still warm as was the snake. Currently, it's cruising around the 20 gallon tank I've got it in.

Do they like to climb around, like on sandblasted grape branches? Or do they rather cruise the floor and hide?

Hopefully it'll be an interesting pet to have. =)

Thanks,

Taceas

Congrats, and welcome to the addiction! BP's are not agile climbers, and mine frequently fall if given anything of significant height to climb on.
They are naturally shy, especially while adjusting.

Good luck!
