building a cage

i am currently building a 6'L X 3'H X 3'W. it will be housing an adult redtail. i'm pretty sure that it is big enough but the biggest question is i want to paint it or something. what is the best thing to use? thanks

Would construct the unit the seal it really well with caulk, any brand will do, then I would put two coats of non oil based primer, then after it was completely dry, sand it so you get rid of the little fuzzies , primer it once more, then after it has dried I would use a water based gloss or semi gloss latex paint (white). after the first coat has dried for at least a day I would put a second and final coat of paint.

after the cage has dried for at least 2-3 days I would put the snakes in.

Hope that was not too much info to your question, but a water based latex semi gloss is fine.
