At what age do most people go from feeding leos daily to skipping days. I read a few care sheets that said to feed babies daily, and adults could be fed every other, or every 2 days. None said what age to make the switch.
I have had bearded dragons that would eat, and like can o crickets. Does anyone have a leo that likes them, or any of the other zoo med canned food products. It is possible to feed live, and it would be done in most cases, but there might be situations where canned would be much easier.
I also saw packaged foods. Any leo's eat that stuff? Is it any good? Do they readily begin eating it in most cases, or is it a complete waste?
Last question for now. Would mealies left in a food dish on Friday night to be eaten Saturday morning work alright? Would it be ok, if this arrangement would work, to feed 6 days and not the 7th. At what age woudl this arrangement be acceptable?
In case you are wondering, weekend access won't be possible, so that is why I need to know. I could raise it at home until it could go without food on weekends, if it wouldn't be too long. My place of work wants an animal for a classroom. They were going to go out and catch frogs, until I said absolutely not. After some research I also saw most frogs would be too annoying to care for due to other factors involved (distance from sink being a major one).
