firebelly toads?

mn9796 Aug 30, 2004 10:48 PM

I am researching what type of frog to get for my kids. Many have suggested the firebelly toad. Any info would be helpful. As some of you know I am new to the frog thing. My kids found a frog that we kept in a 1/2 and 1/2 tank for about a month before he died. Now looking into what kind we can get from the store. I was thinking about getting two.

While firebelly toads are a good beginner's pet because they are easy to take care of, I would suggest the White's Tree Frog. They are probably one of the calmest frogs and will sit in your hand or on your shoulder patiently and seldomly jumping. I find them nice looking too, an all-around good pet.

Just my 2 cents, good luck finding a new frog
