Scrub all the visible dirt and debris off of it with plain water. Mix up a solution of one part bleach to 9 parts water (i.e., 10%) and soak or spray the log, making it good and wet. Afterwards let it air dry thoroughly outdoors. Should be ready to go then!!!

Also, spraying it with high pressure water will clean it up nicely. The car wash works great!! LOL Definitly use the bleach water.
