This really SUCKS!!......

mmfrankford Aug 31, 2004 06:44 AM

I went to check on my reptiles last night and found my corn's lid pushed open. I'ts supposed to lock but I must not have sealed it completely. Well she escaped. Unfortunately she found a hole behind the toilet in the bathroom. I live in an apartment so she could be anywhere under the building.I've tried tempting her with mice but no luck. This really sucks she was a great snake.

So sorry to hear about your corn escaping. Are snakes allowed in your building? if so be sure to ask the neighbors and any maintanence people to be on the lookout ant call you if they see it.

Hope you find her soon

Are you sure she found the hole? I once tore apart the basement of the house I lived in because I was sure that my leopard gecko had climbed through a hole in the floor. I finally gave up and decided that she had climbed into an empty oil tank that sat right under the hole. I found her inside a piece of furniture later that day. Don't give up hope.

Are you sure your snake went in the hole? I had three corns escape last year and found all three. One went to a heated area in my house and I found her late at night and the other two I found in my boots. Don't give up!

As other people have mentioned, you can't really predict where snakes go. I tore my closet apart cause I was sure she was in there. I found her roughly 6 hours later in our bird cage looking for a snack.
