If you are going to refrigerate them, and do not plan to breed your own. Is it a better value to order boxes of 500, or will so many be wasted that it would be better to get the cups of 50 in the petstore. Those are usually $2.99 or $3.99, and a few are dead. I guess someone would be in a box too.

I just got 1000 mealies for my 2 leos,so I guess 500 would be good for your 1,they last forever in the fridge.

For my 2 I usually get either 500 medium or 100 large, the reason for getting only a few large is that even in the fridge some still pupate (turn into those little alien tihgns...) because they are so old.

I think buying in bulk you would still come out better money wise.
Even though some turned to aliens in the fridge you would still get more for your money.
You could also throw the aliens in some bedding and hatch your own, and feeding 1 leo you wouldnt need to buy anymore once you get established.
