Lighting

I tested out the light I bought in my tank the other day and it makes the temperature way too hot. Should I buy a lower wattage or bulb or can I just get a rheostat to fix the problem. I am haveing trouble trying to keep the pac man tank at the right temp, I want to get it right before I buy the frog. Thanks

lower wattage bulb might work , probably safer option would be a 'dimmerstat' which will monitor temps and dim the bulb if its to hot. a simple on of one like used for heat mats wouldnt be suitable as the light would be going on/off a lot and in my opinion this is gonna stress the frog and doesnt give a regular day/night cycle

where can I find a dimmerstat?
