Growth of Grey Tree Frog

frogsandchams Aug 31, 2004 02:01 PM

Does anyone know how fast a Grey Tree Frog grows?
I have some peepers from last year, but I want to let them go this year. I know one is definately a peeper. But over the winter, when they were "peeping" in my house, I noticed how one really sounded like a Grey. I used to own a Grey last year.
Well one of the Peepers is bigger than the other. So either its a "she" or its a Grey, but I would think it would be bigger by now. What do you think?

7 frogs - 2 peepers/2 RETF's/2 WTF's/1 GTF
8 turtles - 1 wood/6 boxers/1 RES
1 Male Veiled Chameleon
and of course the usual 2 rabbits and a Weimaraner!

Spring peepers and Gray tree frogs look different.

Spring peepers have a large X on their back.

Gray tree frogs have a light, thick line under their eye, which can be seen in the following picture, outlined in blue.

It may be illegal to release the frogs since you have kept them for so long. You should check the laws in your area before you do.
