Is it better to feed one rabbit or 3-4 colossal rats to an adult blood. My malaysian girl to be exact. What pound range is a good feeder rabbit.I don't want her trying to take this thing down all night long if you know what I mean.Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Even my biggest adults don't get more than a couple of jumbo rats per feeding (and usually only one)...too easy to make bloods obese by constantly giving them giant prey items. IMHO, stick to rats, save your money. Rabbits are expensive to buy & ship.

Just my $.02

Sounds good to me coming from an experienced end.I was just thinking maybe it wasn't enough because she never looked like she had a full stomach as compared to my other bloods.Especially since her girth is so big. Thanks

Hey Ethan,
I have to agree with Kara, one of the biggest mistakes made by some, albeit, keepers, is to feed over sized prey or food items to their animals. In this case bloods and short-tails. I only feed jumbo rats to my adults and they are all thriving and putting on weight, and shedding regularly which is a good indication that they are growing. Most get fed every 14-20 days. Jumbo rats, and if you wish "super jumbos, are large enough for any 20 -35 Lb. blood/short-tail, anything larger than that to me is over kill.

Right on, looks like she'll continue getting jumbo rats.
Thanks
