albino and pastel prices?

griffindor Aug 31, 2004 02:56 PM

I will be going to the Mid-Atlantic show in a couple of weeks and hope to get a new ball python or two. I believe albinos are going for $2,000 - $2,500 and pastels are about $750 - $1,500. Does that sound about right? Any tips on getting the best deal?

Any tips to getting the best deal??? BRING CASH......And don't go after the one that u see with the cheapest advertised price just cuz it's cheaper....Look around and find a specimen that u really want and then talk to the breeder...Deals do happen behind the scene even if the aren't "advertised"....Buy for quality, not for cheapness......That's the problem with all these ads we are seeing....Pastels for this and Spiders for that....Most of those pastels are a nice dark ugly brown and not all those Spiders are "knock-outs"......Sorry for the rant, just tired of seeing "market killers" undercutting others to try and move animals...If people aren't in the market for a female pastel or spider, then they are gonna buy one no matter how cheap.....1 male= 4-6 clutches, 1 female= 1 clutch....Sorry again and good luck!!
