or maybe he was wrong, from the info i just found out, these yellow headed geckos come from madagascar, this little guy came in from the dominican,
i have no pics nor camera at the moment,
it is very tiny,
brown with flecks, more yellow at the head, and at the end of his tail, he/she has a black ring around it with a white stripe in the centre of the black,
i just put him in a paper towel lined tank with rocks and shallow water dish, and my lucky bamboo plant, she dashed right under the rocks!
please any help or info would be appreciated!!!

If I had to guess anything it would be some type of Sphaerodactylus, they are uniformly tiny geckos, and yellow seems to appear on lots of different species. As a start you might try keeping them in conditions like Phelsuma, I would tend towards pretty high humidity, and with lots of plant cover and hiding places. Sorry this is all so vague, I'm pretty much just guessing here. It seems that apart from Hemidactylus there's not much in the way of captive care info on Caribbean gecko species. Good luck, and post some pics if you can.

thanks for your reply

unfortunately he died sometime last night, :0(

he seemed fine last night, well was quick anyway, and this morning i found him dead!!

i added plants, and kept humidity up to eighty-eighty five percent, and i think that was still not high enough, gave him a wet hide too, but when i found him he was all dried out. poor little guy, survived all the way from domician in an eighty pound box of coconuts only to die here. :0(

i wish i done better!
thanks again for the reply!

I was going to message and ask to buy it, lol, sounds liek you had a member of the Gonatodes genus, been looking for those geckos for a long time!

Boy, me too, I think Gonatodes are some of the most amazing looking gex, it's surprising to me that they are not often seen in captivity. Due to their small size, perhaps? I would take G. albogularis over Phelsuma any day of the week.
