I don't know where you heard this, but they are wrong, in my opinion, and the igsperts, too. Quoting Melissa Kaplan, "You cannot overfeed an iguana". We feed Iggi every day, and hate when she's gravid. My wife, "ig_mommy", insists that Iggi eat and poop every day. So far for 3 1/2 years now. she has.

Although, I definately see my iguana's appetite vary dramatically throughout the year. But he will almost always eat it all if he is not in breeding season or sick or in the middle of winter.

I think it's good to offer it every day, even if they don't always want it. It makes me worry non-stop when my iguana doesn't eat as much as I think he should.

I never heard that and even if I did Tiny would kill me because he LOVES to eat and does this 2 times a day. BIG plates. His shedding every week shows it. He is growing by leaps and bounds.
