hey, man! just checking to see if you were gonna post those pics from the 'Diary'. no rush, but i sure would LOVE to see them! also, i'll be putting some pics up soon. my friend Mike and i picked up some nice Kings last weekend at a show in Manassas, Virginia. we know a guy from the northern part of the state who caught a gravid female Eastern in Washington, D.C. under a bridge! she had 9 babies and Mike has them and they're beautiful! unfortunately, the mother died. she had a really bad case of mites. i got a nice lavender Cal King from the same guy. and i got a really nice 3.5 foot female Eastern from one of the vendors we know who lives in Maryland. he caught it up there. i'll put the 'eye candy' up as soon as my batteries finish charging! LOL!

thanks!
greg

I was at the Manassas show myself. Did you happen to see that very nice adult Wayne co. North Carolina Eastern Kingsnake that Rick Sladick (snakes plus/Forked-Tongue Enterprises) had at his table. I came so very close to bringing her home. He always has some outstanding animals.

yeah, as a matter of fact, i did. is Rick the tall, lanky guy with glasses? i see him at the Raleigh show, too, which incidentally is this weekend! i'm planning on being there. are you going? if you see a kind of heavy set guy with a goatee and a green Nike hat, that's me! we have a friend at UNC who is doing research and DNA testing on some Scarlet Kings that we've been finding up our way in central Virginia. he's trying to determine if they're intergrades or not. i might be spending the night in Chapel Hill this weekend and going down to the sandhills on Sunday to do some herping. maybe i'll meet you at the show and we can swap some stories. i look forward to meeting you!
sincerely,
greg

p.s. by the way...did you also see the Louisiana Milks that one guy had? i haven't seen too many of those. and what about the HUUUGE Western Hogs??!! i need to get one! ha!

Yea, Rick is the tall with glasses. Super nice guy, I always love chatting with him at the shows. Yea I was the one very large hognose right when you go into the show, over on the right. Might have been dominion reptiles, or if not him, right by his table.
I went last time to the Carolina show, but don't think I'll make the drive this time. Don't know where in central Va. you are, but did you see what happened in the Richmond area? Total devastation in some areas. 10-14 inchs of rain in a half a day period in the metro area. Anyway, I will be at the Richmond show on the 24th sep. Take care,

Steve

What I meant to say was "Yea I saw the one very large hognose right when I walked into the show". I just can't type very well at 6:30am LOL

Steve, do you mean the show at Va. Beach or Richmond? i think Va. Beach is Sept. 25-26 and Richmond is Oct. 31. i'm gonna try to catch both of them, definitely Richmond, so maybe i'll see you then! take care!

I'll be at the Richmond show. I thought it was the 24th, but I'll have to double check. I'm not too far from Va. Beach either so I may have to go there also. Both are closer for me then Manassas.

Steve, i forgot to tell you...i hadn't heard about the rain in Richmond, but i can only imagine. in the last couple weeks since that hurricane went through, we've gotten a few pretty good LITTLE showers! i guess we can use the rain, though. usually this time of year it's hot and dry as a bone.
