what kind of snake is this

it is supposed to be a gray banded king but im not sure

most alterna don't have that many narrow orange bands. I'm no expert on the mexicana/alterna complex.

Try posting a full body shot on the alterna forum.

this is a peach phase thayeri. Alternas have a much more smooth pattern, with narrower bands, and i believe that they have different head scalation too...

Looks very much like a thayeri, aka a "variable king"
