Amount of time between breeding females?

alieliza Aug 31, 2004 10:41 PM

I have a few females that I am looking to get mates for (snow het jungle, shtctb, hypo tang het rainwater...) Two of them are gravid and laying right now, though. The SHTCTB is not gravid, and I want to get her a mate at the white plains show... this will be an investment. I think maybe I should wait on getting the other girls mates, because they may not be ready to breed for a few months, anyway... Am I right? Although, I also have to consider the time it will take to quarantine.....

How long should you wait between breeding after the females have stopped laying?

Personally i wouldn't consider time as much as a factor as regaining proper weight and health.
However i've never bred a thing and don't plan on it in the near future since extensive breeding will shorten the life of your geckos.

Basically my suggestion is wait till they have recovered enough phsyically instead of chronologically then breed them again.
