Aberrant/Striped Ghost Sonoran that just hatched out, pics not so good, but will..

gofer Aug 31, 2004 11:25 PM

try to get better ones once it sheds. The stripe on this guy is amazing, what a way to end august. There are some blizzards popping out now too, nothing like a blizzard at the end of August in PA. There are a few more pics posted on my site too, did not want to post too many at once on the forum.

Have a good one,

Thanks Jason, definitely will keep you updated on this guy and others that hatch out like him. I'm sure you will have one very soon too, same bloodlines, so it's in there somewhere!

Have a good one,

Gregg

Hey Greg

That is just awesome. I love the super busy pattern and how big that baby is. He will be an awesome male for your sonoran project down the road. CONGRATS!

Hello Jonel,
Thanks man, greatly appreciated. Yeah, i can't get over that pattern, just blew me away last night when i opened up the incubator. And the size on these Sonorans is always huge, partly due to the size of the parents i'm sure, and possibly due to the longer incuabation period since i keep them a little cooler, around 78 degrees for incubation. They always come out ready to eat decent sized fuzzies, thanks Jason for the great bloodlines! How did your Black Milks do this year Jonel? I ended up with two clutches, both are still looking good and will hopefully hatch in another month.

Thanks again,

Gregg

Hi Gregg

The Black milks(whispering - this is the pit forum) didn't have any eggs this year since I opted to wait another year. I felt that the female was smaller than what I would like her to be for breeding. By next year I think she'll be close to 5 ft so that would be ideal. BTW, how are the capes? I bet they're looking lovely as yearlings. Keep us updated on your projects. Take care bro!

Congrats Gregg, he's a beauty. Nice camera work. Glad to see things are going good for you.

Thanks Nima, i had to take a lot of pics though to get a few okay ones. I will get a few outside pics with true sunlight and no flash once he sheds, and the sun comes back out here. Your San Diego's are doing great, male can be picky about food sometimes, but the female eats anything i throw her way!

Have a good one, and thanks again!

Hi Gregg,

Glad to hear they're doing well. Have they grown much since you've had them? For some reason my females were always more ferocious and consistent eaters than the males. The male liked to eat larger meals in one sitting rather than smaller meals more often. They always fed f/t mice in my care, but maybe he will do better on rats. Do you think he will be ready to breed next year? He has great genes thanks to Jason. Should have good looking offspring with the unrelated female. Thanks for the update, and I look forward to more great pics from you

Take care,
Nima

That is one of the best looking snakes of 04. You are one lucky man. Good luck with it. Tom Stevens

Thanks Tom, always good to hear from you and your compliments are always appreciated. Hopefully i can catch you on IM someday again, but with the new job it will be a while until i have time to jump on line for a long period of time. I'll keep you updated with pics of this guy, no worries there.

Have a good one, and congrats on your great breeding season as well!

I don't think there are enough wings in PA to get that little guy out of my hands for right now, lol, good try though. You know too well of my weaknesses such as wings, etc...

Have a good one Billy,

Gregg
