what kind of kingsnake is this?

i thought it was a gray banded but im not sure. ive also heard its a "thayeri" or something like that. if it is please tell me what it means.

Looks like a Thayeri to me. Thayeri are one of the three main phases of the Mexican Kingsnake. They are also known as Variable Kingsnakes, Thayer's Kingsnake, and the Nuevo Leon Kingsnake. They come in all different colors and patterns. Yours is a buckskin (background color)leonis phase (narrow banded pattern).
Grey Banded Kings used to be considered a form of the Mexican Kingsnake as well, and many people still consider them to be very closely related. Many Mexican Kings get mis-labled as Grey Bands.
