I just bought a 48" shop light for like 8 bucks...but the problem is that it only will use a T-12 Bulb...and most fluorescents that are full spectrum are only T-8. So I was wondering if a.) there was a way to change the fixture or convert to a T-8 using some sort of an adapter, or b.) does anyone know where I could get a T-12 48" full spectrum fluorescent bulb? Any and all help will be appreciated

what do the measurements of the bulbs dictate? Do they actually have to do with power or with size of the bulbs, because I know that some UV bulbs are a lot thinner than others (though reptisuns are thick and they are the best on the market right now). The flourescent lamp for my one cage came with a thinish bulb in it, but the reptisun fit right in.

If that's not the case, I'd say take it back and try to find the right light.
