Got Tail? ? ? ? ?

SuppleReptiles Sep 01, 2004 02:41 AM

My first Suriname litter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man this feels good!

First, I need to thank some people. My family for putting up with these snakes that I love Gary Sipperly for teaching me how to breed surinames (the guy known for breeding suris when no one else could). Dan Mulleary, my good friend, who is in Indo right now, hopefully have a wonderful safe trip. Mike@ Basically Boas.... Answering all of the question I ask heheheheh. Rob Tudehope, Barry Miller... thanks you guys!

And a special thanks to my bro Peter Watson. This is bitter sweet for me. Pete taught me sooooo much about BCC. One of the best. I really wish he could be here to see this. I miss you man...

This is my first year trying to breed BCC (first time I have had a ready pair), and my first litter. I got my first pair of surinames from Gary late '98, and I still have them! This litter is from a sibling to Miller's female that just droped a great litter for him (came from Bob Futo, 99). There is about 18-20 babies and ZERO SLUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Sorry, the pics are horrible (Sean OBZ, help me out man!), but I just got home from a 10 hour shift at work, after 3 classes at school (first day of the semester). What could be better to come home to?

-Kemper

Kemper,
...Way to go. There are just a small number of people who can breed Surinams. Your litter and the very few other Suri litters we have seen here this season are evidence of how hard these snakes are to breed. I have been trying for a long time and still have not produced a live baby Suri.

NO BEAUTY LIKE THE BEAUTY OF A TRUE REDTAIL !!

It almost sounds like you won an acadamy award for boas. I don't blame you. You should be proud of those beauties. But maybe we should have a yearly awards ceramony complete with a celebrity host, designer clothes, and teleprompters. I can see it now; And the nominees for best supporting jungle sibling. Keep speaches short and sweet or they will turn the music on. Great job.

Hiya Kemper. I replied to the PM you sent, but who knows when you'll get it

The babies look BEAUTIFUL! Good job.

I'm glad you had better luck than me this year. I had 3 females this year and 2 did not ovulate and the other slugged out. Way to go! and if you plan to sell any please email me. Later
