I just lucked out and got another pair of the Jim Kane line Cape Gophers. Thanks again Jonel! Pictured first is a hatchling and second is a yearling. They are two different animals.

Hi Matt
I'm glad that you like the animals so much. I can say the same with the jani I got from you this year. You're right about the male's potential in color since his overall cloration is much richer than the female. But I do love the female's striped pattern and can't wait to see how that will turn out. Back to the capes, here's a female that I kept from last year. I kept her because of her reduction of black pigment. If you can tell from the pic the orange on her blotches reaches up to her vent. These animals have always been a favorite of mine. They are just so beautiful.

Selective Propagations
I can't wait to see my two a year from now!
Thanks again Jonel
Matt..
Is it possible that the Kane strain of capes are hypo?
Killer pics!
Billy
