Where can i go in southeastern missouri to find some collareds? I've heard they're in st. francious state park. any know where they are in that general area?

I've never seen them in St Francois SP. It dosn't relly have the habitat. St Joe SP has a huge population. Where are you located?

areas. Try south of the dam on Bairds Mountian. This place looks like the moon land scape. it's where they mined the rock for the dam. if you are allowed up there, the old rock quarry is where there use to be a healthy population of collareds. Also this place was used for some low budget movie sets in my day. I have also seen collareds around the north side of the dam ( around the camp grounds of the fish hatchery, and down off the road of the dam ( no, not cussing here folks ) look out point. Besides collareds, many swifts ( fence lizards )and race-runners. Not to mention a timber and milk snakes every once in a while.
I'll show you plenty.
