I have a question regarding the Vision Cage Model V422 with the extra vent. Is the extra vent for the UVA/UVB tube? Also, would this cage size be appropiate for one(1) male beardie? The cage size is 48"W x 28"D x 18"H. Thanks to all that reply.

I have one of those cages with two female dragons in it. One male should feel right at home. The extra vent is for a strip light. There is a separate area for a dome light.
Excellent that is what I wanted to know! I figured it would be a good size for my male beardie his name is Legend! Peace
So how does the dome light work? Does it hang down into the cage and can it hit the side of the dome area (fire!)?

The dome light is a circular indention in the cage that ends in a wire grid. A dome lamp (5 inch diameter or so) fits down inside. Unless you have a very high wattage bulb/lamp you shouldn't have any problems about potential fires or damage. I've had my vision cage for a few years and I've had no problems. I use a 60 watt bulb. I'd recommend between 50 and 75 watt bulbs depending upon the temperature you keep in your home.
