How does this pic station look? (lots of pix.)

Randall_Turner Sep 01, 2004 12:56 PM

The first set of pix are of my Candy Cane tailed Davey Pastel.

And these are of my albino female.. (she is getting ready to shed so looks a bit drabber then normal)

I hope I didn't bore any of you. Just wanted some opinions on the picture station.

I would maybe use a more natural rock color, like sand or light brown, as opposed to the white/black, only because the white may reflect more light than you would like.

Other than that, maybe a log or piece of driftwood, or else some spaghnum moss at the base of the plants.
This would probably give more color contrast too and improve the pics a bit.

Other than that, love that Davey pastel! Never get tired of looking at her!
Cool descriptive name for her tail too!

I am planning to put some sand in the low areas around the fake flat "rocks" and some moss from the craft store to help add in more color and hopefully help it look more natural. On the next one I set up I will go with a more tan fleck stone paint instead of the white soap stone style..

Thanks

similar to the changes you are referring to but I probably wouldn't go with the sane, just the most. Good moss with some varying greens and browns should do the trick.

Either way, show us how it turns out!
