want a carpet BAD............little help?

chaosdrummer13 Sep 01, 2004 01:38 PM

Hi guys. I've been keeping pythons and boas for several years, but have never had a Carpet. Could you guys give me some suggestions?

I am leaning towards a coastal, but do they all turn dark as they get older? I want one that will be lighter colored with a good pattern as an adult. Can anyone suggest a good breeder? I like JCP's too, but I like the larger size of the Coastals. What is the Max size for a JCP?

Thanks guys.

David

Um, Coastals are as variable as the day is long. You see a lot of dark ones on the internet because not many people part with the light phases. Here is my striped male/4yrs old/golden light hue...

Dave Prada has some very nice high contrast coastals:

Female Jungles have been known to get upwards of 8ft, but on average they are 6-7ft. Coastals on average are around 7-8ft.
