already got it handeled thanks though it was a very temp thing needed to something on the floor

since that picture I have remove the partical substrate and put down tiles I have also switch from the spring analog thermometers to a dual digital with humidity sensor for wall mart it works excelent

substrate is compacted playsand...hard as a rock...

the way i got it is i got the sand quite moist and i pressed it into the bottom of the tank in the shape i wanted it....i also think it may work to mix the sand with weldbond in a 2:1 sand:weldbond ratio and then press it down and let it dry for about 2 weeks in a highly ventilated space downside to this is you wont be able to get it out if you use weldbond...with the compacted sand it needs to be rewet and pressed back down periodically
