Sheds, hides, and pictures.

I have a few opinion questions:
Anyone who keeps two or more geckos together ever notice that their 'shedding cycles' seem to syncronize? (i.e. they both shed round the same time.)
I've obtained a new little gecko from the pwc nova reptile show. She's four months old -- is it to early to put in a moist hide box? Or is it even more necessary because they shed more than adults?

NOW FOR THE PICTURES!

My setup of setups.

Ooh,

Aaah,

WOW!

I got this from two ladies, and I was very impressed! I asked them questions about how they kept their geckos, and our husbandry ways matched. This little beaut was only $35 too! She also had hypo tang and baldies, which she showed me under non-floresent lights. They were so bright, and the carrottails were very stunningly orange. Pictures over the internet really don't do justice. Mind you, jungles are still my favorite (and my new girl has a little broken band on the end of her tail), but I am most impressed with tangs and hypo tangs and carrottails.
By the way, I'm pretty sure her name is Sable.

Thanks,
Elisa

I think they shed so close is mainly because they eat the same amount at the same time or at least mine do, and you do need a humid hide for the baby.

Thanks!
1-- The heat emitter works very well. I don't use it very much in the summer, but the 100 watt bulb I have in there can kick up an 82 degree tank to an 95 degree tank.

2-- The 'burgandy plasticy mesh stuff' is a thick plastic net that I got from ACMoore (a local arts and crafts store.), and it DOES make an awesome lizard hammock. I'm pretty sure it'd be in a knitting/yarn stuff section. It was in about sheets of 16x20, and comes in a variety of colours! It costed me about 40 cents a sheet. I then picked up a pack of assorted sizes of suction cup hooks. Then I took 'em home, cut them up, added a touch of creativity, then wah-lah! I have hammocks in my 20L, and my 10gal. AND my geckos love them. I put up a piece of net against the wall so they can climb vertically up to the hammock. However, they usually don't climb down.. they just plop off the edge. d: So the smaller they are, keep it lower to the ground!
Hey, you could even use this as a DIY thing for your site -- because your site is pretty great!

Good luck,
Elisa

You can just use my name, "Elisa". I'm sort of in between websites, so you don't have to link it to anything. d: Thanks!

curious, where did you get your fake palm trees at?
I really like your setup and I'd love to get some fake
palm trees for my Leo.

Thanks in advance.

To be honest, I got the palm trees quite a long time ago, when I used to play with toys. They might be playmobil(e)? It was a safari set, or it had animals with it and such. Just try taking a look around next time you're at toys'r'us? Heheee.

And thank you!
Elisa
