one of my female satanics have laid 12 infetile eggs this month and i dont know why do anyone know why she is doing this
I have no idea why this would happen but make sure she gets plenty of food. Laying 12 eggs in one month is a big energy drain.

12 eggs in one month?!?! that sure seems like a lot. as far as i knew, i thought they only laid about one clutch of 2 eggs every month or so.
yeah to bad there infertile shes the biggest and fattest out of them all and she its more than everyone eles but i dont why she laying infertile eggs the humidty at 85-90 and temps is 74 day and 65 at night because evey night i watch them cause i have nothing eles to do besides homework and i havent neither of the 2 males in the cage with her are trying to breed with her
Ive never heard of 12 eggs in one month either. Is it maybe possible that she was egg bound, and thats why she was the fattest one, and now somehow she is releasing all her egg bound eggs? I was watching animal ER one day, and someone took an egg bound iguanna to the vet. The iguanna had like 14 eggs in her that the vet had to take out, which the vet said was VERY extreme.
yea, you know...her hormones could be all out of whack for some odd reason, possibly not even anything that you did.
12 eggs in one month sure seem like ALOT of eggs. But stranger things have been known to happen.
I hot glue little deli cups in all my gecko enclosures.
That way I can clean out and replace the baby food and calcium without too much interuption.
Keep in mind that dusting crickets isn't enough. By placing a container filled with calicum in there enclosure you give them a chance to get as much calcium as they need for egg production.
Another thing you may want to do is take her out and set her up on her own for a while. Give her a new set up and let her fill up on calicum. It could also be that there is something wrong with her. 12 eggs are ALOT to put out. She may have a over active overies (sp?).
Keep us informed. Hopefully this may have helped.
Best wishes

what does egg bound mean and saturday i have to take one of my males to the doc he has an appointment so i will take her to also i bought this bootle called calcimiza for her cause she loves drinking water and know her calcium sac are back but not as big as the other females cause she kind of lazy she only eats crikets on the grond and stay there until shes full and go back up on her vine and stay therr most off the night i havent seen her lay any egg nor infertile eggs and i been watching them for the last 1hr 30min
THERE ARE MANY REASONS THIS MAY HAPPEN.
Diet, stress, poor husbandry and substandered animals are just a few reasons that this happens.
If the enclosure doesn't provide security, shelter and choices then we are normally the reason that females tox out from keeping there eggs inside them.
If the diet that we feed them doesn't provide them with the nutrients needed to make GOOD eggs then we are the reason they hold there eggs and tox out.
What if she doesn't feel SAFE in dropping her eggs in OUR enclosures, and what if the substrate isn't good enough. TOO hot, too cold, too wet, too dry. These are just a few reasons that feamles go egg bond and die. Even after all this is taken into consideration, theres always nature. Maybe the female just isn't good enough to put out good eggs.
Hope this helped. Sorry for going on like this.
But I need more coffee.
Best wishes
