I just got my new cricket order in today. I transferred a box of 2000 adult crickets to a cricket tub. When I turned to get another box the tub fell off the chair I had it on and landed upside down. This happened to be in my office which is part of the main area of my house. The good news is not all of them dumped. When I flipped it back over there was still 1 cricket in the tub. Only 1999 crickets running loose in my house. I released all my adult and sub-adult dragons for an all-you-can-eat buffet. They dented it but what a nightmare.

Oh man Mike that sucks, I've done the same thing before though lol. At least it was crickets and not roaches..

I have pulle dout the shop vac and resorted to sucking them up into it. Most of them are not doing well on the trip through but at least there getting picked up.

Oh my gosh, that is NOT fun!!

lol, I had almost the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago...
I was in the Herp room unloading a shipment of crickets, and when I was dumping them into the cricket bucket, one of the egg crates fell out of the box, and a few hundred (large) crickets landed on the floor!! :-/
Luckily this happend in the herp room, so I was able to quickly shut the door, and I took out my three adult dragons and let them roam around the room for awhile so they could eat the loose crickets.
Our family had some friends of ours over the next night, and the little kids just could Not figure out why there were crickets running around the basement (a few handfuls of them got out of the herp room) or where the strange "cherping sound" was coming from. hehe :P

I can definitely relate to this one! Only I was lucky, I only had 3 dozen to loose. My daughter opened my cricket keeper and set them all free she said. (she's only 3!) I dont trust my dragon to run loose since hes still young, but to my surprise, and entertainment, Capone (my bassett hound) is a great cricket hunter, and made short work of most of them. That was 4 months ago, and I'm still finding them now and then. I just scoop them up and toss them in with Yoshi. I switched to freeze dried, so I no longer have that problem.

When I ordered crickets and transferred them from shipping box to cricket container, I did it outside I had 1/4" crickets, 500 or 1000 of them, can't remember what I had ordered...adn by the time I unwrapped the shipping box, removed all the tape, I know some got away. They were stuck on everything LOL.

This won't work for me in the winter though...hehe, but it was spring at the time so it was warm enough for me not to worry about killing all the crickets from the cold. I use silkworms and superworms now for my adult dragon, so accidently dumping everything isn't to much an issue.

Even though there isnt any :D You'll feel really relaxed in your house, it will sound like the outdoors with all the crick crick's lol kinda like those things you buy at the store that have like the natural sounds, You got a free 1 :D :P
